Weathr is developed and maintained by Apex Forgeworks LLC. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and what is stored on your device.
For US locations, Weathr retrieves weather data from the National Weather Service (NWS) API. For non-US locations, data is retrieved from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a free, open-source weather API. When you look up a forecast, the app sends the latitude and longitude associated with your search to the relevant weather API. No personal information — such as your name, email, or device ID — is transmitted.
Weathr does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.
The app stores a small amount of data locally on your device to remember your preferences:
This data is stored using your device's local storage and never leaves your device. It is not sent to Apex Forgeworks or any third party. You can clear this data at any time through your browser or device settings.
Weathr does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to Apex Forgeworks LLC or any other party. We have no servers that receive your information. The app operates entirely between your device and the weather APIs (National Weather Service for U.S. locations, Open-Meteo for international).
Weathr is not specifically directed at children, but it is safe for users of all ages. Because the app collects no personal data whatsoever, there are no special concerns regarding children's privacy.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.
